This course provides you with comprehensive knowledge about the organisation of inclusive education at an international level. You will learn how organisations such as the UN, OECD and UNESCO understand and promote inclusion. The course teaches concepts of educational governance and their application in educational areas such as teacher training and school administration. After completing the course, you will be able to analyse, plan and implement inclusive education initiatives in your environment. You will gain the ability to shape educational policy and practice both locally and internationally and to develop and evaluate a network for inclusive education.
GovInEd is an Erasmus+ funded initiative operating across Germany, Austria, Italy, and Spain, bringing together higher education institutions and regional school authorities. Established in 2022, their expertise centers on fostering dialogue between European countries on educational reforms towards inclusion. Through their research and analysis of governance systems in inclusive education, GovInEd specializes in empowering stakeholders to implement effective reforms that align with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). Their work focuses on multi-level governance analyses and the development of transnational, inter-level cooperation strategies in inclusive education reform.
